Here are the answers to frequently asked questions about the AI Method Card Deck.

Q. What does this cost, and what do I receive?

The deck of physical cards costs $29.95 U.S. plus a standard shipping cost of $9.00. This includes the 67-card deck, 14 strategic games, game placemats, access to the AI CoPilot, and a set of AI-curated resources. The deck comes shrink-wrapped and includes an Education Method Card sticker to proudly display your use of the AI Method Card Deck! Note: Illinois residents are required to pay state sales tax.

Q. Where do you ship to?

Currently, the AI deck is only available in the United States (all 50 states and the District of Columbia).

Q. Explain your shipping costs to me.

We use USPS or UPS shipping throughout the United States. The standard cost for shipping is $9.00. For each deck up to 4 decks, there is a per-item cost of $0.50. So, for a single deck, the shipping cost would be $9.50; for two decks, the shipping would be $10.00, and so on. A five-deck bundle is a flat rate of $11.00, and a ten-deck bundle is a flat rate of $13.50. For other quantities, contact us.

We also use Shippo to manage shipping from this site. You will receive an email when your product is shipped that indicates your package has been shipped by Shippo.

Q. Do you offer a digital download of the cards?

We do. You can download an online PDF (a PDF of the card fronts and a PDF of the card backs) of the card deck and print it. The purchase also includes PDF files of each card with the front and back of each card (60 PDFs, card 1 front and back, card 2 front and back, etc.) Finally, you will receive digital files (.png format) of each card (front and back) that can be used with Mural, Miro, Figma, PowerPoint, Keynote, and various Google tools - anything that supports importing a digital file. The cost is $20.95, and there is no shipping charge. You can also access all the resources associated with a printed deck (except the sticker!) Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of a digital download. Note: Illinois residents are required to pay state sales tax.

Q. What is the purpose of the AI method card deck?

To gamify a design process for integrating artificial intelligence into classroom practice. The cards and the games are used together to help you develop a strategic plan for AI use. The additional resources help you develop the answers you need to create a compelling and successful plan.

Q. Who is the deck designed for?

The deck is useful for any educator. While it focuses on teachers and classroom AI integration, administrators will also find it useful.

Q. Why is the focus on questions rather than answers? Does the card deck provide answers?

The emphasis on questions over answers stems from the diverse nature of classrooms, teaching practices, and the ever-changing landscape of AI. The questions presented in the card deck are designed to guide educators in their planning and preparation, develop classroom practices, and aid in understanding the evaluation of AI integration. By engaging with the 67 questions, educators can better understand their specific needs and knowledge gaps, facilitating a more tailored and effective approach to developing a plan that works for their classroom

Q. Can I play the deck individually? Collaboratively?

You can play individually, but the 14 games with the deck are designed to be played collaboratively.

Q. What are the game placemats?

Game placemats are large, formatted sheets designed to organize and facilitate play for certain games. These mats can be printed and used to streamline the setup and play of specific games, enhancing the overall gaming experience and the ability to process ideas.

Q. What is the relationship between the card deck and the card games?

The card games lead the player(s) through the development of a strategic plan.

Q. How do I access the method card deck resources?

Upon purchase, you will be sent an email with all the information about the resources associated with the deck, including a zip file that can be unpacked to obtain all of the documents associated with the deck. Should you lose the email, use the contact form on this site to request a replacement email.

Q. How do I use the AI CoPilot?

The AI CoPilot has been trained on the questions of the card deck. Like any resource, it can help you develop answers to your questions about AI integration. Also, using the CoPilot can help you learn more about using AI for inquiry and how that can be applied to classroom practice. Use the CoPilot as a co-designer to ask questions, develop ideas, provide summaries and suggestions, and evaluate goals and strategies. The deck comes with an AI CoPilot Guide that provides detailed instructions and examples of how to use the CoPilot.

Q. Can school leadership use the card deck?

Absolutely, but look for a new deck that targets AI for Leadership. It’s in the works.

Q. Do you offer support services for AI planning and integration?

We do. Contact us if you need help using the card deck, understanding AI, or developing an AI Policy. We provide professional development and assistance for schools, school districts, and universities.

Q. Can I distribute the physical or digital cards?

Your purchase does not allow you to post online or distribute the cards and their digital representations or provide others access to any of the tools included in the purchase. Specifically: Upon purchasing the physical method card deck or digital download, the purchaser is granted the non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the deck for personal (individual) purposes or in a group setting. The purchase of this product entitles the user to utilize the deck or any of the deck’s associated resources, as provided, but without the right to reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, or distribute the content in any form, either online or through other distribution channels. This license allows the user to engage with the deck as intended by EducationMethod.Cards but does not extend to any form of replication or distribution of the product, its contents, or support resources.

Q. Can I return my purchase?

You can return the deck within 14 days of purchase (the 14 days begins from the day you receive the deck). The deck must be in good condition for a refund to be issued. To initiate a return, use the contact us form to request a return, and we will send instructions on how to proceed. We will pay for the return and refund your purchase price (minus the initial shipping charge). You provide the shipping package. Unfortunately, purchases of digital downloads of the deck cannot be returned.

Q. Can I purchase a bulk order, and is there a discount?

Yes. To make a bulk order, use the contact form, and we will contact you with ordering instructions, pricing, and shipping costs. We also offer 5-deck and 10-deck bundles. Contact us for pricing for digital copies of the cards beyond a single purchase.

Q. Can I submit a purchase order?

Yes, purchase orders can be submitted. Contact us and provide the number of decks you wish to purchase. We will provide costs (decks and shipping) for the purchase order. Upon receiving the purchase order, we will send an invoice. Once payment has been received, we will ship the decks.
